Cottage Description

This is a delightful property which is attached to the owner's house in Batcome. It has one bedroom and sleeps two people.

Little Hollybrook is decorated and furnished to a high standard with open plan lounge and kitchen with breakfast bar. The dining area has stone flooring and the property has a contemporary feel to it. The comfortable bedroom is tastefully decorated and there is an shower room en suite. This cottage is a perfect location for a romantic getaway. There is a private area with decking and patio furniture and also a communal lawned area.

Power and fuel are included in the rental price as are bed linen and towels. The property is heated using storage radiators. The kitchen has an oven and hob (electric), a fridge and a microwave. Access to the owner's washing machine can be arranged. Additional facilities included a plasma television with Freeview and a DVD player and a selection of books. There is parking off road for one car and there is also bike storage available. There is a communal summerhouse and one acre pasture. Beauty treatments and deer watching can be arranged with the owner. Sorry no smoking and no pets. The nearest pub is half a mile away and the nearest shop is 3.5 miles away. Please note that the owner has a dog.

Local Town Description

Batcombe, in East Somerset, is located on the border of the Mendip Hill and in the valley of River Alham. Bruton is just over three miles away and is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A short drive away is Stourhead with fantastic houses and gardens and Longleat Safari Park is also close by. Also within driving distance are Glastonbury, Stonehenge and Salisbury - all with famous landmarks, history and landscapes. For a trip to the beach, Dorset and Somerset are also within easy reach - making this an ideal destination for a varied holiday.

Everything was great, the cottage was fabulous. The owners of Little Hollybrook couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, they even took us out to an old pub where there was Morris dancing, it was brilliant! The area is super with so much to do.
