Cottage Description
Dating back over two-hundred-and-fifty years is this charming former farm worker's cottage, which sits on the edge of the village of Shepton Beauchamp in Somerset. Wayside Cottage has one king-size double bedroom and a further separate double bedroom. There is a ground floor bathroom, which has a bath with a shower over it, basin and WC. The sitting room has an LCD TV, inglenook fireplace and wood-burner stove. There is also a well-appointed fitted kitchen, dining room and utility room. Amenities/Accommodation Overview This property benefits from having electric storage heaters, an inglenook fireplace and a wood-burning stove. Bed linen and towels are provided. In the kitchen, there is an electric double oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a small-enclosed courtyard with outdoor furniture. Roadside parking is available for two vehicles. One well-behaved pet is welcome for an additional charge. Smoking is not allowed. No children under the age of six years old are allowed. Local Town Description There are pubs and shops just eight-minutes walk from the property. Shepton Beauchamp is situated between the Somerset Levels and The Blackdown Hills, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The charming town of Ilminster is just five-miles away and has good amenities. Guests can also enjoy cycling along the nearby National Cycle Route and there are many opportunities for walking in the local area. Local places of interest include Barrington Court, Montacute House and Perry's Cider Mill. Cheddar Gorge is within an hour's journey and Exmoor National Park provides an excellent family fun day.
