Despite its modernity, there is much character about this up to the minute lodge property, which really earns its spurs because of its proximity to Alton Towers. With the lovely Peak District also on your doorstep, young and old alike will not be short of entertainment on this holiday!

The four bedrooms are two doubles and two twins, arranged over both floors. One of the doubles has an en suite bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Spacious open plan daytime area with living space with wood burner and dining area, kitchen and doors to woodland and garden. Hot tub.

Forming part of a group of similar detached luxury lodges, the property has the very latest in building design and construction. Located in the little hamlet of Ramshorn, it is just a 15 minute walk from the pedestrian entrance to Alton Towers.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

Electric heating throughout, plus sitting room wood burner. Two TVs with freeview, radio/CD, DVD. Dishwasher, washer/dryer, freezer, fridge, microwave, gas hob and dual fuel cooker, inclusive of fuel, power and wood burner starter pack, (extra logs available for purchase locally), bed linen and towels, high chair and cot availability, hot tub, outdoor furniture and barbecue for use on patio which is open to woodland with a pond.

Plenty of off road parking, one well behaved dog at £25.00 per week, regret no smoking, One mile to pub, three miles to shop, fifteen minutes walk or five minutes drive to Alton Towers. Guests are free to use the thirty acre woodland as the property has no designated garden. Depending on previous booking, hot tub may not always be at full temperature on arrival, please contact owner for more information. Refundable good housekeeping bond required.

Local Town Description

There is no doubt that the proximity of Ramshorn to Alton Towers is a key feature in the popularity of this area, but it should not be forgotten how close you are to the beautiful Peak District. Just twelve miles to the lovely market town of Ashbourne, which offers an interesting history and great eating places and shops.

Chatsworth House and Park and Hardwicke Hall and Haddon Hall are all close at hand, as well as are a selection of attractive villages and towns like Bakewell, Hartington, and Tissington. There is great walking, golf, cycle trails as well as rock climbing in this wonderful area making it a great place for a family holiday.

Please note - some of the attractions at Alton Towers can be seasonal.
