Very much a top of the range offering, this holiday property combines spacious, well proportioned rooms sizes with a high specification. The conversion has been carried out with taste and imagination, and is to be found on a former seventeenth century working farm at Meerbrook near Leek.

Golcrest offers accommodation to be found over three floors, and displays some traditional features such as beams and exposed stonework to complement the high quality modern fitments. There are five bedrooms offered as a king sized double with single sofa bed, TV and en suite bathroom with WC, basin, bath with shower over, a double with TV and en suite shower room having basin, WC and shower. There is a twin with en suite shower room providing WC, basin and shower, TV, and second floor family room with double and single beds and finally a second floor twin. There is a second floor family bathroom with basin, WC, bath with shower over. Ground floor WC and basin. Dining room having french windows, utility room, open fire to spacious lounge, well presented kitchen.

Outstanding views resulting from its three storey design, with similar views from full length windows. Outdoor furniture and barbecue to use in lawned garden. You can book two other properties in conjunction to provide a total sleeping space for thirty three people.

Local Town Description

Beautifully positioned on the south western edge of the glorious Peak District. This lovely National Park is particularly well regarded for its fine walking and cycling trails, and Meerbrook is located on the edge of the Roaches, an area well known amongst the walking community. The villages has pub serving fine food and ales.

It is also a short walk to Tittesworth Reservoir a fine area for wild life enthusiasts and walkers alike, while the splendid spa town of Buxton is just twelve miles distant.

It has a full range of facilities and amenities, as well as a museum, and the Buxton Opera House providing big name entertainment. All the family will love the proximity to Alton Towers, and you may want to add Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock to your touring list, as well as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall.

Beautiful barn conversion in a beautiful setting. The owners were really friendly and extremely helpful. The whole family had great fun on the paddle boats at Tittesworth Resevoir - haven't laughed so much in ages - and the Moorcroft Pottery Factory Tour, just outside nearby Stoke-on-Trent, is not to be missed - absolutely fascinating.
