Delightfully positioned in Winkhill about a mile from the village of Waterhouses, Willow House Cottage is a cosy one double bedroomed stone built cottage adjoining the owner's home. Ideal as a romantic hideaway for a couple, the property provides a double bedroom that has a low beamed ceiling and is accessed by way of a steep staircase, ground floor bathroom with WC, basin, bath with shower over, well presented kitchen and a sitting room that overlooks the garden and has a stone floor and dining space. There are lovely views from the shared garden which you can enjoy with the help of the outdoor furniture for the patio area. Amenities/Accommodation Overview Inclusive of fuel, power, towels and bed linen. Full oil heating (controlled by owners), also electric convector heaters. Microwave, fridge, gas cooker, as well as use of washer/dryer in outside utility, DVD and TV. Plenty of off road parking, two well behaved pets allowed, regret no smoking, one mile to pubs and shop. Local Town Description Ideally placed for touring the lovely Peak District, both Winkhill and nearby Waterhouses are lovely places to stay, with the latter providing pubs with food and shops. Waterhouses is set on the River Hamps, being a tributary of the River Manifold. Walkers won't need to be told about the popularity of this area with outdoor enthusiasts, with the Manifold Way, a walking/cycling path following an old railway line, being one of the most popular in the area. Visit Alton Towers Theme Park, and take in magnificent properties such as Chatsworth, and Hardwicke and Haddon Halls.

The owners of the property were lovely and friendly as well as their dogs. The area is very quiet and peaceful, ideal if you would like a relaxing holiday with lots of walking. Overall a brilliant holiday and we would definitely go back.
