Built as an original croft cottage around 200 years ago, the property has been in the same family ever since and is located on the peaceful eastern shore of Loch Lomond. At the heart of the cottage is the sitting room with antique furniture, a small TV with DVD and an open fire. There is a dining room and compact kitchen, which has views out to the loch, a fridge and automatic washing machine. There is one double bedroom on the ground floor and steep stairs up to a twin bedroom with stunning views and a pull out single bed. There is also a bathroom with an electric shower over the bath. Bed linen and towels are provided. One of the more attractive features of the property is the large partly rediscovered private garden, with a seating area and BBQ. The wonderful setting of Loch Lomond, which is twenty-three miles long and known as 'The Queen of Scottish Lochs' can be enjoyed through boat trips, fishing, walks and boat hire is also available. The 'West Highland Way' can also be explored, following part of the shore and offering stunning scenery and tranquillity. The nearby village has a pub/hotel and there is a visitor centre and shop open in the summer months only. The village of Drymen is just four miles away and has a selection of shops and the local hotel holds regular ceilidhs on Sundays. This cottage, which enjoys magnificent views of the loch, has been lovingly restored by the owners and has been filled with comfortable and traditional furniture. The property has full electricity, central heating and an open fire.
