Walberswick by Southwold is a lovely place to spend a break, and you will want to cross the river (by bridge or foot ferry), to Southwold itself with its harbourside huts providing fresh fish, a well known brewery and a summer theatre. Other places of interest include Snape Maltings, Sutton Hoo, Aldeburgh, Dunwich Heath, RSPB Minsmere and Woodbridge. Under half a mile to both pub and shop.
