Having the most marvellous coastal views over Pentland Firth, and being almost as far north as you can travel on mainland Scotland, Viewfield is a delightful stone croft cottage, tastefully decorated and furnished in a pleasing country manner with warm colours.

As well the coastline views, there are vistas of the wonderful green countryside from this lovely property whose accommodation is offered as three bedrooms, being a double, a single and a twin. The shower room comes with WC, basin and shower, while the day time accommodation includes a sitting room having open fire, dining area in the conservatory, utility room and a kitchen benefiting from a breakfast bar. Local Town Description

History lovers will be delighted to learn that is a Christian settlement on the outskirts of the village that dates from before the eighth century, as well as sites that show cave dwellings and Viking attack evidence. Certainly an area that has seen some action over the years!

These days however, it tends to be a place where you come seeking peace and tranquility and walk along the wonderful sandy beaches. Smoo Cave which is a sea cave with a river running through it is a real attraction, and a large colony of puffins is to be found at Faraid Head. There is a craft village that has been founded at an old RAF radar station.
