Beautiful setting, but the proximity to Stratford and the Shakespeare connection is the real feature of a vacation at The Roost. The river, his birthplace, the theatre and Anne Hathaway's Cottage, all combine to give you the full flavour of his life and times. Stratford offers more with much ancillary history, and the nearby Cotswolds, Warwick Castle, Hidcote Gardens, and Chipping Campden will fill your touring diary to the brim.

A wonderful location for all of the places we wished to visit and the accommodation was very nice. The owners' family were very friendly and the cottage is in a lovely peaceful setting. Although we had a two year old and a six week old baby in tow, we were made to feel very welcome by the owner who was always on hand should we need any help or advice on our holiday. They also provided useful things such as highchairs and travel cots for our little ones and were happy for us to re-arrange the furniture to suit our sleeping arrangements!
