The Stables Family Cottage

One of three lovingly restored barn conversions having a history that can be traced back some three hundred years, this property offers single storey two bedroomed accommodation set on a working fruit farm in the delightful Warwickshire village of Snitterfield. Complementary toiletries included in the hamper of home grown produce provided on arrival.

Just three miles from Stratford, nine miles from Warwick and twelve miles from Leamington. From that information alone it is clear how easily you will be able to fill your touring and day tripping agenda. Snitterfield has Domesday Book mentions, and the church of St. James the Great shows evidence of thirteenth century construction.

The Stables is a complementary mix of traditional and contemporary with original brickwork, beams and oak flooring mixing well with modern fitments. Book in conjunction with two neighbouring properties to sleep up to eight people.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

The ground floor accommodation includes two bedrooms being a double and a twin. Both have beams and TV with freeview, whilst the wet room has a roll top bath, open shower area, basin, WC and complimentary toiletries.

Open plan sitting room with dining space seating eight, beams, TV, freeview, DVD, CD player/radio, collection of books/games/DVDs.

Kitchen provides fridge, microwave, gas hob and electric oven. On site washing machine and tumble dryer available at no charge. Gas fired central heating.

Towels, bed linen, power and fuel, three car off road parking, regret no smoking and no pets. Barbecue on request, outdoor furniture to enjoy shared front garedn with lawn, patio and fruit trees.

Pub one mile, shop three quarters of a mile, farm shop on site. There are six fishing reservoirs in the owners grounds - fishing available at £6.00 per day. Children must be supervised at all times.

Local Town Description

It is difficult to know where to start to get the full flavour of this superb part of Britain, but perhaps Stratford-upon-Avon will do to begin with, being a day out in its own right. Not just the birthplace of William Shakespeare, it is home to the Royal Shakespeare company, and offers lovely parks and river cruises as well rowing. Wonderful period properties, many associated with the Bard.

Warwick with its majestic castle, and the honey coloured cottages and buildings of the Cotswolds will live long in the memory, featuring such great towns and villages as Moreton, Stow, Burford, Bourton and the Slaughters.

Cheltenham and Leamington are historic spa towns, and racing enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice in this part of the world.

The cottage was lovely, clean, cosy and tastefully decorated. It was within close driving distance to the A46, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick.
