Cottage Description

This impressive, modern holiday apartment covers two floors and is located within the stunning Grade II listed Castle House, which is sits in a conservation area in the ancient market town of Calne, near Bath.

4 Castle House can sleep four people as it has a first floor king-size double bedroom, with additional accommodation provided by a double sofa bed in a separate room. The first floor bathroom has a bath with shower unit, basin and WC. Within the sitting room, there is a plasma flame-effect fire and there is a well-equipped fitted kitchen with dining area.

This property has heating from modern night storage heaters and a plasma flame-effect fire in the sitting room. Fuel and power is included in the price. There is bed linen and towels provided.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine/dryer and dishwasher. There is also the use of two colour TV's and a DVD player.

Outside there is off road parking, small private enclosed garden and spacious shared mature gardens to the rear. No pets are allowed and smoking is not permitted. There are shops and a pub within a five-minute walk.

Sitting within the River Marden valley, the historic market town of Calne is a bustling place with a good selection of places to eat, shop and a number of friendly pubs. This historic conservation area is situated at the heart of picturesque North Wiltshire. It provides an excellent base for visiting many local attractions, which include Silbury Hill and Bowood House and gardens, designed by Capability Brown. The nearby village of Lacock has an ancient abbey or guests can travel to see the beautiful Roman city of Bath, which is within easy reach.
