In an area that is absolutely choc full of interesting attractions and day trips, Bull Pen is to be found about a mile from the Wiltshire village of Charlton only four miles from Malmesbury. Lovely position in the grounds of the owner's farmhouse. Ideal for two friends or a couple the accommodation is ground floor based, although there are some internal steps. There is a twin bedroom, and a bathroom with WC, basin, bath with shower over. There is a sitting room with dining space and a pleasing fitted kitchen. There is a lawned garden with outdoor furniture. Please note that dogs should be kept on a lead as the garden is not enclosed. Another property can be booked in conjunction to provide total sleeping accommodation for up to four people. Amenities/Accommodation Overview Inclusive of power, fuel, bed linen and towels. Heating from electric convectors and storage radiators. washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, ceramic hob and electric oven. Books, games, DVDs, CD/radio, TV with freeview and DVD. Two car off road parking, one well behaved pet allowed, regret no smoking. One mile to the pub, four miles to the shop. Local Town Description Malmesbury has a fine history with the ruined Benedictine Abbey taking pride of place. The southern Cotswold position opens up all sorts of touring possibilities with particular emphasis on places such as Westonbirt Aboretum, and the wonderful National Trust village of Lacock, used as the setting for so many period costume dramas such as Cranford. There is also the Cotswold Water park, and lovely Castle Combe with its honey coloured stone, once the location for the original film of Dr. Dolittle. Roman Bath is one of the most famous sites in Britain with so many well preserved buildings from that fascinating period.

The cottage was in excellent condition. As we were going to the Badminton Horse Trials it was an excellent location and we would certainly like to book again for next year.
