Hotel Description
Located in the Scottish Highlands by Loch Ness the original hotel built on this site dates back to 1740 6 years before the battle of Culloden. The original building parts of which still stand today was a drovers inn a stop over point for farmers taking their cattle to and from market. This traditional pretty and charming old building is ideally situated as the perfect base to discover the entire Highlands and Islands. We are easy to find on the main Loch Ness -side road (A82) from Inverness to Fort William at the junction to Kyle of Lochalsh and Skye (A88787). We have eight bedrooms of various sizes in the main building and three King size Tavern bedrooms in the grounds. All our rooms are equiped with ensuite showers except our 1 much sought after 4 poster bedroom with a jacuzzi bath. The Tavern has ensuite wet rooms 1 of which is equiped with assisted facilities. The bar and restaurant has a distinctly Scottish feel and a cosy atmosphere. A warm Highland welcome fine wholesome food and a traditional whisky bar complete the picture. WIFI is available throughout the hotel and cost three per 24 hours.

If travelling from the north via Inverness follow the A82 southwards to Drumnadrochit. Carry on past Urqhuart Castle for aproximately another 15 minutes and Invermoriston is the next village. We are stiuated on the A82 on the right hand side at the junction for Skye and Fort William. If travelling from the south via Glasgow follow the A82 all the way. This takes you round Loch Lomond and through Glencoe. Stay on the A82 through Fort William Spean Bridge Invergarry and Fort Augustus. |
