Tenterden's Premiere luxury hotel, the London Beach Country Hotel, Golf Club & Spa is set in the beautiful Wealden countryside a mile from the historic town of Tenterden.

Guests at the London Beach are 15 minutes drive from Rye and the southern coastline which is so full of history. Ashford International Rail Station is 20 minutes drive, whilst Dover ferry port is just 45 minutes away. The hotel provides a perfect base for exploring the many historic houses, castles, vineyards and gardens in this area of outstanding beauty.

The hotel's bedrooms include the executive double bedrooms, with 2 queen sized beds or the executive “single” bedrooms with one double queen sized bed. There is a four poster honeymoon suite and each spacious bedroom has a private balcony overlooking the magnificent parkland golf course. The rooms have large flat screen TVs and there is free WIFI throughout the hotel.

The fantastic parkland golf course boasts some of the best greens in the country, constructed to the highest standard using USGA Green Specifications. There is also a driving range, championship chipping course, putting green and pitch and putt course. Our PGA professional Mark Chilcott is available for lessons should you feel a need to improve your game.

The Spa facilities include a large hydrotherapy pool, saline infinity swimming pool, sauna and steam room as well as a separate ladies only relaxation area with its own Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The Spa facilities are for over 21s only and no children are allowed in the Spa. Our team of experienced beauty therapists uses Clarins and Espa products and offers a wide range of treatments including body and aromatherapy massage, facials, dry floatation, manicures and pedicures to name just a few. The beauty department is very popular so booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

The hotel's restaurant makes use of local produce and offers a choice of menus. The brasserie menu is available throughout the day and offers excellent meals at very reasonable prices. The wine list includes wines from the Tenterden Chapel Down vineyard and Biddenden vineyard. The main à la carte restaurant open at lunch time 12.30pm - 2.30pm and from 7pm - 9.30pm and has a choice of delicious dishes created by our award-winning chefs.

Please Note: You do not have to be on a Spa Break to enjoy our Spa facilities. All of our Spa Facilities with the exception of the gym are available to Hotel Residents for a £25 charge per person, no under 21s.

Local Area Description: The picturesque 'Cinque Port' of Tenterden has every reason to declare itself 'The Jewel of the Weald'. Its fine High Street must rank amongst the most attractive in the Country with historic houses, shops, restaurants and pubs separated from the road by wide expanses of tree-lined grass verges.

William Caxton, who in 1477 printed the first English book, was said to have been born here. Keeping guard over the town is the pinnacled tower of St Mildreds Church from where once the signal beacon warned of the approach of the Spanish Armada, and where later Lord Nelson's daughter, Horatia was the wife of the vicar.

However Tenterden is also a town for the 21st century with modern amenities, varied and interesting shopping, great places to stay, fascinating museums and visitor attractions, and events for all the family.
