This delightful old inn has been extensively redecorated whilst retaining all its traditional character features. The wonderful decor creates a welcoming relaxed atmosphere and our staff do their utmost to ensure that you take pleasure in your time here. We pride ourselves on our food at the Rock and Fountain. The kitchen is headed up by Lee Milne who has worked with some of the culinary greats and together with his 2 second chefs they routinely prove their competence at producing brilliant quality food at extremely reasonable prices.

All our ingredients are sourced locally and food is cooked to order. We have eight stunning letting rooms that have been redecorated to a extremely high standard. These are available for long or short term lets. All of our rooms are en suite and have comfortable sofas and their own kitchenette areas complete with combination ovens washing machines tea coffee etc.

3 of our rooms also have their own sitting rooms. Equally perfect for the business traveller or holiday maker. For getting out and about our position is wonderful. We have 3 of the countrys best golf courses to hand Celtic Manor home to the 2010 Ryder Cup is just five miles away; St Pierre in Chepstow even closer; whilst the Rolls of Monmouth is with in easy driving distance.

If history is your thing we have numerous castles in the immediate area as well as the exceptional Caldicot Castle which has been restored to much of its original condition and is the home of the mediaeval banquet. For wine lovers we have a selection of award winning vineyards as well as 1 bio dynamic almost on our doorstep or if you prefer a spot of culture then both Bristol and Cardiff are less than 25 miles away.

We are minutes away from the David Broome Centre and Chepstow Racecourse home to the Welsh Grand National. And if thats not enough to be getting on with the spectacular Wye Valley and all its attractions are a stones throw away. We also have 2 function rooms upstairs which are ideal for weddings family gatherings auctions conferences etc.

The smaller of the 2 is the remarkable library which can seat up to 12 for more intimate gatherings. We are in the process of putting together some marvellous all inclusive packages for your special day be that wedding birthday or other family occasion. Directions

From Cardiff Newport and West Wales Leave the M4 at J24 take the second exit on the A48 signed to Langstone. At the next roundabout take the second exit continuing on the A48. Continue on the A48 for approximately 4.5 miles and the Rock and Fountain Inn is on the left hand side of the road. For the car park take the turning on the left immediately after the pub and then take the first turning on the left after that.From the North (M50) Take the A40A449 south until you get to the Coldra roundabout (M4 J24).
