Our picturesque 18th Century Guest House located in the old town area of the rural market town of Rhayader with the river Wye only 3-4 minutes walkaway. Rhayader is known as the gateway to the Lakeland of Wales. We provide the ideal base from which to discover this magnificent area with its mountains valleys woods and lakes. The Horseshoe in Rhayader is a two hundred year-old spacious Welsh stone building with lots of character and charm the lounges are furnished with deep comfy chairs and are heavily beamed with a log fire for chilly evenings adding to the atmosphere. The Horseshoe has been recently redecorated to a high standard offering the extremely best in contemporary facilities whilst retaining the original charm of this delightful old building. The conservatory with its walled garden are inviting and restful after a day on the move. The bedrooms double and twin En Suite or single standard are decorated with flair in the countryside style all rooms have colour T. V. Complimentary tea coffee biscuits and contemporary central heating. Parking is no problem we have our own large secure car park and secure cycle and motorbike storage. All dogs are welcome if we are notified at the time of booking.
