Bishops Castle is situated in the unspoilt South West corner of Shropshire about 20 miles south of Shrewsbury 18 miles west of Ludlow and right on the border with Wales. It is about 1.5 hours drive from Birmingham about two hours from Manchester and Bristol and about 4 hours from London. The hotel is at the top of the high street at the northern end of the town.
