Hotel Description
Brympton House is not a hotel but a stately home once owned by the Earls of Westmoreland. We do not offer hotel facilities there is no reception desk for example but the chance to experience staying in a much loved stately home. All guests are asked to check in before 6pm - a later check in can be arranged but needs to be organised before arrival. Late check in can just be arranged by contacting the house directly. There are 21 bedrooms all of which are centrally heated and have a quirky character. Each bedroom has an en suite shower or ball and claw feet bath tea and coffee making facilities and FREE VIEW TV. The age of these rooms (The Fane rooms for example date from 1350) mean that guests should expect some of the doors to stick whilst some of the medieval windows dont open and the rooms are without doubt not sound proofed to contemporary day standards! Guests who stay with us however - and around 60% of our guests are return guests - all take pleasure in the peace and tranquility of the Brympton Estate the glorious park listed Grade two and winner of the Chrisites Garden of the year Award playing croquet on the lawn eating breakfast in the vaulted medieval hall and our mini farmyard of rescue animals as well as Ernie our much loved Buff Orpington cockerel who without fail wakes everyone up in the morning!Breakfast includes a daily selection of cereals yoghurt fruit juice toast and preserves and a choice of either hand carved ham and eggs poached eggs on an English muffin boiled eggs with soldiers porridge or kippers. At weekends we offer smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on Saturday and a full English breakfast on Sunday.
