Howletts Wild Animal Park was primarily set up by John Aspinall to protect and breed endangered species and re-introduce them into the wild where possible. Today you will see a fantastic array of wild animals with African elephants, tigers, wolves, lemurs, black rhino's and gorillas amongst them. There are regular talks by the keepers and feeding times are fun to watch.

Port Lympne Wild Animal Park is set in 600 acres of grounds and along and as with its sister site at Howletts was set up by John Aspinall for the conservation of endangered species. Here you can take a safari ride around the site where you will see giraffes, black rhinos, wildebeest, antelopes and several other wildlife species roaming free.
Canterbury Cathedral is a truly magnificent cathedral with stunning architecture and a place of prayer since 597AD when the missionary St Augustine came from Rome to these shores. Pilgrims have flocked to Canterbury since the murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket in the cathedral in 1170AD.
