This unspoiled, tranquil reserve is a relaxing retreat for the entire family. Most of the reserve is undisturbed and remote. Culbin Sands is one of the largest shingle and sand dune bars in Britain. A saltmarsh lies behind the sand dunes and invites numerous sea ducks, bar-tailed godwits, oystercatchers and knots. Small flocks of brent geese are also common. The walks around the reserve are peaceful and ideal for meditation. Culbin Sands is open year round to the public.
