This beautiful locale located on a picturesque hillside is a botanical garden as well as an arboretum which spans approximately 25 ha or 62 acres. The garden is located south of the town of Peebles and also contains the Dawyck Chapel, which was built in the year 1837. The garden contains a beech walk, a rhododendron walk, a wood containing many Scottish Pines, as well as numerous rare Scottish plants.

In the present day, Traquair House is a historical venue which welcomes tourists and visitors each year. The location is also used for summer events, meeting places for corporate and business groups, as well as weddings. The Robert Smail's Printing Works is a Victorian letterpress printing facility which is still in use today. The location is preserved today as a museum which illustrates the operation of printers during the 18th and 19th century. The printing firm has been in existence since 1866 and prints for the local area and also contains a shop which sells stationary. Visitors to the location are given a tour which demonstrates the printing process and are also given the opportunity to learn hands-on as well.
7. Cross Kirk - Peebles, Peeblesshire, EH45 8
Cross Kirk is one of Scotland's most famous medieval church ruins. The architecture dates to 1100 although it has been added to since its inception. The structure is enclosed by a kirkyard which is located close to Tuquoy near the shore. During the 1100s, Cross Kirk consisted of a nave along with a chancel located at the east. The structure was enlarged during the 1600s. The kirkyard is still used with the cemetery being a fascinating place to investigate.

The St. Ronan's Wells Visitor Centre, which is located within a historical spa, contains a set of exhibits which illustrate the history of St. Ronan's Wells and Innerleithen. It particularly focuses on the area's connection with the writers, James Hogg and Sir Walter Scott. In the year 2007, the spa's gardens were featured in Beechgrove Garden, a BBC television programme. The gardens are constantly being enhanced with additional sculptures and plants as well as a beautiful picnic area.
