Transportation in Derby
The majority of Derby's quarter million residents travel about via the Midlands Railway and Derby Station which is part of Easy Midlands Trains and provides transportation to London and Manchester. Buses also are a key transportation mode in Derby which includes a National Express station connecting Derby to the major cities beyond Derbyshire.
By car, you can reach Derby by driving a number of differing routes. But the primary thoroughfares in Derby are the A53/Ashbourne Road and the A38 that passed along several pristine parks north and west of the city.

Constructed in the 18th century, the cathedral offers daily tours of its tower which reaches a height of over 200 feet. Once a top Derby Cathedral Tower, you can take in a splendid panorama of the city in all its majesty.
Kedleston Hall is yet another magnificent feat of architecture worth a visit in Derby. This English country house dates back to the 18th century and was designed by famed architect Robert Adam. The hall is open for tours and even includes a restaurant and shop to compliment the surround protected landscape.
