1. Carew Castle - Carew, Near Tenby, Pembrokeshire, SA70 8SL - Tel No: 01646 651782

Carew Castle is a magnificent building that spans over 2000 years of history. There is a lot to see including an 11th century Celtic Cross, restored Tidal Mill and a medieval bridge. Plenty of family friendly activities and events are arranged throughout the year including a family treasure hunt and a medieval fair.

2. Folly Farm - Begelly, Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire, SA68 0XA - Tel No: 01834 812731

Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo Folly Farm is one of the top attractions in Wales and has been voted the 'Best Family Day Out'. This park is set in the stunning Pembrokeshire countryside and offers fun, affordable days out for all ages. There are six activity packed amusement zones including fairground rides, adventure playgrounds and farm animals.

3. Llawhaden Castle - Llawhaden, Narberth, Pembrokeshire

This castle was originally built as a palace for the powerful Bishops of St David's. Like other medieval castle designs, Llawhaden features fortified battlements, a garrison, servant's quarters and private apartments. Llawhaden Castle is located in some lovely countryside and is connected closely to the nearby village. This castle has an impressive 13th century twin-towered gatehouse and many fascinating medieval features.

4. Manorbier Castle - Manorbier, Tenby - Tel No: 01834 871 394

Manorbier Castle is set in some of the most scenic parts of the beautiful lush Pembrokeshire countryside. This castle nestles in a lovely narrow valley and is a stunning combination of grandeur and practical fortification. This castle is well preserved and offers an in-depth look into the feudal way of life. There is a lovely gift shop on-site where you can pick up lots of mementoes of your trip.

5. Pembroke Castle - Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, SA71 4LA - Tel No: 01646 684585

This mighty Norman Castle was founded by Roger of Montgomery in the 11th century. Visitors can still walk along sections of the original wall. This provides some stunning views out over the beautiful Welsh countryside. This castle Keep was built in 1200 and is an impressive building with walls that measure 19 feet thick at the base. This is one of the most powerful defensible castles still remaining in Wales and well worth a visit if you are interested in history.

6. Silent World Aquarium and Reptile Collection - Slippery Back, Narberth Road, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, SA70 8HR - Tel No: 01834 844498

This is a marvellous attraction for rainy days and has a lot to offer visitors of all ages. This Aquarium celebrates both the local marine life of Pembrokeshire and offers some fantastic, exotic exhibits, as well. Silent World is housed in an attractive 19th century chapel and has a lovely cafe where you can stop for a quick break. You can also buy gifts, pet food and equipment from the shop.

7. The Dinosaur Park - Gumfreston, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, SA70 8RB - Tel No: 01834 845272

This fun park offers rides, boating, trampolines, pedal trucking and a free 18-hole 'Adventure' golf course. There is a fun playground for kids of all ages and a high-tech activity centre. You can also explore ancient woodlands and swampland with the prehistoric trail and learn more about dinosaurs and fossils.
